Our story

Jacqart combines the expertise of two historic Italian companies: Imatex, founded in 1960 and based in Nibionno (LC), specialising in jacquard fabrics for interior design, both for indoor and outdoor residential use; and Prosetex, active since 1964 in producing jacquard velvets and high-end fabrics for the residential and hospitality, furnishing sectors. Prosetex also offers a technical collection tailored to the aviation, marine, and public transport industries, using specially developed technical fibres compliant with safety regulations in those sectors. Jacqart’s headquarters will be in Bulciago (LC), in the Brianza district.  The name Jacqart – a blend of Jacquard and Art – pays homage to the loom technology shared by both companies, enabling the creation of true “weaves of décor”: intricate designs, innovative textures, and unique weaves that express textile creativity and craftsmanship to bring designers’ visions to life. The name Jacqart is paired in its logo with the tagline Trame d'Arredo (“Weaves of Décor”).
