Introducing Jacqart: Rino Mastrotto and Marzotto Group
join forces in high-end interior textiles

Trissino and Valdagno, 8 July 2025 – Rino Rino Mastrotto and the Marzotto Group announce the launch of Jacqart – Trame d’Arredo, a new company specialising in the production of high-quality jacquard fabrics and velvets. The new entity stems from the merger of Imatex23 S.r.l. (“Imatex”), a company controlled by Rino Mastrotto, and Prosetex, part of the Marzotto Group.

Jacqart will combine the expertise of two historic Italian companies: Imatex, founded in 1960 and based in Nibionno (LC), specialising in jacquard fabrics for interior design, both for indoor and outdoor residential use; and Prosetex, active since 1964 in producing jacquard velvets and high-end fabrics for the residential and hospitality, furnishing sectors. Prosetex also offers a technical collection tailored to the aviation, marine, and public transport industries, using specially developed technical fibres compliant with safety regulations in those sectors. Jacqart’s headquarters will be in Bulciago (LC), in the Brianza district.

The name Jacqart – a blend of Jacquard and Art – pays homage to the loom technology shared by both companies, enabling the creation of true “weaves of décor”: intricate designs, innovative textures, and unique weaves that express textile creativity and craftsmanship to bring designers’ visions to life. The name Jacqart is paired in its logo with the tagline Trame d'Arredo (“Weaves of Décor”).

This initiative allows furniture and interior brands to access a comprehensive portfolio of fabrics and services – from smooth and jacquard velvets to a broad fabric range – all through a single point of contact: Jacqart. The project is further strengthened by the industrial know-how of two major groups, Rino Mastrotto and Marzotto Group.

The deal involves the transfer of the Prosetex business unit into Imatex. Following this, Rino Mastrotto will hold 60% of the new company and Marzotto Group will hold the remaining 40%.

The union of Rino Mastrotto and Marzotto Group creates major synergies for Jacqart in terms of raw material procurement – such as wool, linen, hemp, and cotton – thanks to Marzotto’s vertically integrated production. The product range is expanded by the addition of jacquard velvets, and enriched further through bespoke and customisation services supported by Rino Mastrotto’s expertise in luxury craftsmanship.

Giorgio Meda, a seasoned professional with twenty years of experience – most recently as Director of Textile Operations at Rubelli – has been appointed General Manager, leading the industrial integration and operations. He will be supported by Massimo Maestroni, an engineer with over 15 years of experience in leading high-end furniture companies, as Chief Executive Officer.

The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions.

Matteo Mastrotto, CEO of Rino Mastrotto, stated:

“This operation allows us to further expand our portfolio of interior design fabrics with the addition of velvets. Marzotto Group is a prestigious player in our region, and we’re proud to partner with them. The formation of Jacqart will undoubtedly create meaningful synergies, both in terms of raw material sourcing and shared expertise.”

Davide Favrin, CEO of Marzotto Group, commented:

“Today, the furnishing industry demands a more reliable, controlled, and robust supply chain. This unique partnership brings together two prominent Italian industrial groups with shared heritage and values. I’m confident this alliance will make a significant contribution to the industry’s growth, leveraging the structured and diverse expertise each company brings to the table.”

Rino Mastrotto was advised by Deloitte for legal matters and by Studio Riccardi Salom Tedeschi for tax and financial consultancy.

Marzotto Group was supported by its in-house legal and tax teams.
